CURRENT PROJECT
The focus of my current work is the Mexican female rodeo sport called Escaramuza, which belongs to Mexico's charro tradition.
The project was honored with two awards from the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) at its 2011 international photograhy competition and a Mexican publisher will publish a book in 2012.

"As a result of the escaramuza, the charro environment changed. Why? Because through the escaramuza, girls and women participated, which converted it into a very family oriented environment. Back then, 50 years back, it was an exclusively male environment and very few women, or almost none, participated. It was as if it were a men's club."
